چکیده
The paper presents the design of an assistive reading tool that integrates read-aloud technology with eye tracking to regulate speed and support struggling readers in following text while listening it. describes rationale this approach, theory auditory–visual integration, terms automatic self-adaptable technique based on reader's gaze provides individualized interaction experience. This has been assessed a controlled experiment 20 children (aged 8–10 years) diagnosis dyslexia control group typical abilities. results show difficulties improved their comprehension scores by 24% measured standardized instrument for assessment more inaccurate (N = 9) tended benefit more. findings are discussed better integration between audio visual information, paving way improve standard gaze-contingency techniques personalize

Comprehension of humor in children with nonverbal learning disabilities, reading disabilities, and without learning disabilities.
The normal development of humor in children has been well documented with a predictable course that is tied to social, cognitive, and linguistic development in children. This study explored humor comprehension in children with nonverbal learning disabilities (NVLD). Children with NVLD were compared with children with reading disabilities and a comparison group of children with no learning disab...

According to a number of studies, use of a Reading Acceleration Program as reading intervention training has been demonstrated to improve reading speed and comprehension level effectively in most languages and countries. The objective of the current study was to provide further evidence of the effectiveness of a Reading Acceleration Program for Chinese children with reading disabilities using a...
متن کاملNeurocognitive predictors of reading outcomes for children with reading disabilities.
This study reports on several specific neurocognitive process predictors of reading outcomes for a sample of 278 children with reading disabilities. Three categories of response (i.e., poor, average, and good) were formed via growth curve models of six reading outcomes. Two nested discriminant function analyses were conducted to evaluate the predictive capability of the following models: (a) an...
